Daddy and Hallie playing ball in the yard!

Hallie loves to play ball with Daddy outside. She says, "side-ball!" Translation: Let's go outside and play ball! This is a great reminder to Jon- Who needs boys?? HA!

Hallie playing around the House

Hallie is obsessed with playing with her baby dolls these days! She love to feed them, wrap them in blankies, and pat their backs. It is so cute!

POTTY PARTY!

I just got the best phone call from Jon!!! I heard a little voice on the other end saying, "potty, Potty!" YES!!!! Hallie has gone potty twice today in her potty chair. Jon said he was filling up the bath and she grabbed his hand and said potty...to his surprise when he went over to her potty chair...she had already gone! I hope this is a good sign! I know it can take a while for it to be official but I am hoping that she will continue to potty in the big girl potty! Way to go Hallie...We are soooo proud of you!

Bass Pro Shop and Airplanes

Hallie and I had a great day today!! It was looking grim (overcast and rainy)...SO we popped over to Pa Pa Vanders house and ended up taking a trip to Bass Pro Shop! Hallie absolutely loved it. She was pointing at all the animals and loved the huge fish tank. Dad and I laughed because she was so excited and into the whole experience but as soon as we tried to get her to touch the animals she would get spooked. It was too cute. She also tasted some yummy fudge in the fudge shop! We will have to take Daddy very soon...he would love it!
We also stopped and showed Hallie PaPa's airplanes! She was fascinated...she would say over and over "bareplane" (her version of airplane). She did not enjoy getting in the Cessna but seemed okay in the Bonanza. We were getting close to nap time so we did not take either of the planes out. She seemed to enjoy just seeing them!
It is a shame that my battery was charging on my camera! Bummer but more pics to come soon!

Slurping Noodles

We came home to the cutest thing tonight after work...Hallie was slurping her spaghetti noodles with Aunt Sara. I wish we would have had a camera! It was so hilarious. We were all laughing so hard and it encouraged her all the more. I can't wait to make spaghetti soon to catch it on video!

A Great Wednesday!

What a great way to spend a Wednesday! Daddy took the day off so that I could go to work for a while in the morning. We all ate breakfast together and then off I went! After nap time, we headed to Homemakers and Bed Bath and Beyond. We are trying to prepare our home for the real estate market! It is mostly ready but we wanted to add a few finishing touches to make it look GREAT to buyers!
My favorite part of our day was being together as a family for almost a whole day. We don't get a whole lot of opportunities for this because I work every Saturday. I am really looking forward to being home more after the baby is born! It will be soooo great!
********Some cute things Hallie did today:
- She was so overcome with JOY as we rode the elevator at Homemakers...she was jumping up and down with excitement!
- She tried to sit on a fake dog and "ride" it!
- She said "hi" to every person at the store.
- She sang to her kid music in the car (although we could not make out her words)!

24 weeks and counting!

I can't believe that in 16 (or somewhere around then) we will be adding another little girl to our family. I feel like I should be prepping (buying clothes, baby items, decorating her room) but there is NO need this time around. I guess that is one of the luxuries of having another girl...However, some part of me feels bad! I am sure this little one will have plenty of attention when she gets here. Hallie is already "baby crazy" and she loves kissing my belly. Speaking of my belly...it is just growing, growing, growing! I feel wonderful! I don't remember feeling this good during my pregnancy with Hallie...I think my body understands what to do this time! Stretch, grow, and expand!

Hallie is the constant entertainment around the Evans household! She is just learning and doing SOOOO much. I am amazed at the little things she already knows. She loves saying her animals and the sounds they make! She also names all the objects in her babies first book, book. She is passionate about music! Her first request in the car is for "music!" She only really likes movies or shows that are sing-a-longs. In the last month, she has also started saying 2-word sentences! She says things like "hi mama" and "Hi Dada." It is sooo cute! She is moving right along which is so great to see! I love how she just FULLY enjoys life!!
